Welcome

The “Binghamton Downtown Singers” take special pride in presenting musical productions of the highest level, at little or no cost to its audience, making the beauty of these choral masterworks more readily available to the entire Binghamton, NY region and surrounding communities.

Established in 1983, we have spent many years building a close-knit group of non-professional community singers with the aid of our Artistic Director, Alan C. Crabb, that support our motto: A Tradition of Excellence in Choral Singing.

Membership in the Binghamton Downtown Singers is volunteer-based, open to all members of our region, and participation is not contingent upon audition. We are non-profit and rely on donations and grants to cover our performances--not ticket sales.

The Downtown Singers present two concerts each year:

• G.F. Handel's The Messiah in December; and
• A spring concert of the artistic director's choice from the choral music repertoire
